Legal Assistant/Receptionist – Milwaukee

Description

The legal assistant will work directly with our attorneys and paralegals to prepare for upcoming cases, request and organize data and be responsible for managing and maintaining work throughout the office. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet our clients’ needs. This position is full-time and based in our Milwaukee location.

Tasks
  • Handle the incoming, outgoing, scanning and saving of mail
  • Receive and review incoming documents; forward firm voicemails and faxes
  • Opening and closing of all client files
  • Ordering and receipt of all client medical records and bills
  • Phones/front desk coverage as needed
  • Draft, proofread and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, charts, billings and reports, as directed by assigned attorneys and paralegals
  • General office organization
  • Prepare letters/emails to clients
  • Assist with trial preparations, as needed
  • Billable time entry in billing software
  • Invoice entry, scanning, and filing
  • Miscellaneous projects; other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Paralegal/Legal Assistant or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law office
  • Expert knowledge of MS office, and some experience with practice management systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple work requests
  • Strong customer service skills

Office Assistant – Eau Claire

Description

The office assistant will work directly with our attorneys and paralegals to prepare for upcoming cases, organize data, and be responsible for managing and maintaining work throughout the office. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet our clients’ needs. This position is part-time and based in our Eau Claire location.

Tasks
  • Handle the incoming, outgoing, scanning and saving of mail
  • Closing of all client files
  • Phones/front desk coverage as needed
  • Make client reminder calls
  • Index and file
  • Prepare client statements
  • Organize/copy/print files and forms for office
  • General office organization
  • Miscellaneous projects; other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in an office setting
  • Expert knowledge of MS office
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple work requests
  • Strong customer service skills
