Former FBI director, James Comey, started his professional career as a young New York lawyer. When he was 25 years-old, Comey was assigned to work with attorney Richard “Dick” Cates, GCW Attorney John Cates’ father, on an insurance case in Madison, Wisconsin. In his new book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,” James Comey honors the relationship he built with John Cates’ father and the impact he left on his life.
“I saw in Dick, kindness and toughness, confidence and humility. It would take me decades to realize that those pairs were the bedrock of great leadership,” Comey wrote. These same values are values that GCW still holds true today.
